Itinerary For Sikkim Dzongri Trekking:
Day 01: Arrive Delhi :
On arrival met at the airport and transfer to the
hotel. O/N stay at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling:
Fly to Bagdogra. On arrival drive to Darjeeling (2134 m).
A charming 4-hour journey, through Assam tea plantations
and tiny villages takes us to Darjeeling. Built on top of
a ridge, Darjeeling faces the Himalaya and is a popular
destination for Westerners and Bengalis alike.
Day 3: Darjeeling - Yuksum :
Drive to Yuksum (1780 m) in Western Sikkim.
En route, we visit the Pemayangtse monastery, perched at
2800m, and one of the oldest and most impressive gompas
in Sikkim.
Day 4: Yuksum - Bakhim :
Start the first day trek to reach Bakhim (3005 m).
Day 5: Bakhim - Dzongri :
Trek to Dzongri (4030 m) along a well marked track through
thick Rhododendron forest.
Day 6: Dzongri - Thangsing :
Trek to Thansing (3800 m). You can have fantastic view of
Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru etc. from the Dzongri
Pass.
Day 7: Thangsing - Simiti Lake :
Trek to Samiti lake (4200 m). Samiti lake is considered
sacred by locals.
Day 8: Samiti Lake - Gochala - Samiti:
Trekking to reach Gochala (5000 m). Return to Samiti Lake
for overnight stay.
Day 9: Simiti Lake : Thangsing
Trek to Samiti lake (4200 m). Samiti lake is considered
sacred by locals.
Day 10: Thangsing - Dzongri :
Return trek to Dzongri.
Day 11: Dzongri - Tsoka :
Trek to reach Tsoka (3710 m).
Day 12: Tsoka - Yuksum :
Trek to reach the Yuksum.
Day 13: Yuksum - Pemayangtse - Gangtok:
Drive to Pemayangtse (2085 m), one of the oldest and important
Monastery in Sikkim. Visit the Monastery. Continue driving
to Gangtok (1810 m).
Day 14: Gangtok :
Sightseeing of Gangtok.
Day 15: Gangtok - Bagdogra - Delhi :
Drive to Bagdogra airport to board flight to Delhi to connect
with homeward flight.
